Sept 13, 2019Today in class everyone had to think of 'Things I Do Well'. Students were challenged to think of several aspects of their lives in areas that they do well with. Once everyone completed the assignment we shared in a sharing circle outside. Finally, we decorated the classroom with a paper chain to demonstrate that all of our 'skills' make us a strong chain together.

Sept 12, 2019Today in class we had Mr. Wetmore review research skills and databases available through our library. In the second period you began preliminary research on your final project for the course.

Sept 10, 2019Today we grappled with the idea of an 'Inquiry Question.' We explored the basic framework of how to develop an 'Inquiry Question'. We looked a few different examples of Capstone Projects in other schools. Although we are not doing a Capstone necessarily, we watched these short clips for some inspiration! I have attached some other links and videos for further topic examples.

Sept 9, 2019Today we took notes on 13 key Presentation Skills to follow up from our class on Friday.

Sept 6, 2019We went outside this Friday to explore our presentation skills. Each groups was assigned a skill and had to create a poster with images to represent that skill. These are posted in the classroom to act as a reminder when we present in class.

Sept 5, 2019Today we explored research skills. In class we took notes on some key research strategies. We also explored the C.R.A.A.P and did a follow up activity in the second part of the double block.
